Yucky! And other randomness

So work stinks but I keep reminding myself that it is a job. But on a little less "yucky" note...
this week we have cooked some of the best dinners ever! I love the family meals cookbook I got for Christmas! Plus, I have actually gotten to have a little fun this week making the cutest shower invites! Oh, how I love any papercraft! Maddie has gotten a little off her schedule and does not want her daddy to sleep. I hope we can fix that! Oh, and she had pears for the first time this morning... this was the first time I didn't get to feed her the "first" but Adam said she seemed to like them. Okay, well enough ramblings for today...

I had to work today (even though I still feel like crap) but this was the last weekend for awhile! That makes me so happy! Just thought I would share the wonderful news:-)

Work and Baby Food

So I went back to work today after being out sick for 2 1/2 days. It was nice to know that since it's Friday I still didn't have too long to work. Now that I am home I have to make baby food. That's right... MAKE baby food. I think that everyone should make it themselves. It is not too time consuming PLUS you can make organic baby food WAY cheaper than even the conventional stuff. Plus, your not feeding your kid something you wouldn't even eat... i.e. carrots actually look and taste like carrots. Madeline LOVES her food; so far she has had butternut squash and carrots... this weekend is going to be her first fruit... either pears or apples... haven't picked yet.

So, I am going to attempt having a blog...

In an attempt to keep everyone up to date on our lives I am going to try this "blog thing."

Madeline is growing like a weed! She is almost 5 months old and is try so hard to crawl! She just can't seem to get that belly off the ground yet though. She seems to have a new joy in trying to pull Alvin and Simon's beards though. We are having to teach her not to do things like that earlier than I thought we would.
I have been out of work yesterday and today sick. I am so glad that Adam is such a great daddy because I have been trying my best not to get Maddie sick. Lucky for me my fever is FINALLY gone! I still feel like crap but hopefully will be better tomorrow.
For those of you who know about Adam's job search... things are still the same. We just keep praying and hoping things will change soon. In the mean time he is doing great taking care of Madeline while I work. I couldn't ask for a better husband!
Hopefully this blog will help everyone watch Madeline grow and keep up with all her "firsts", there are lots more on the way!
